Parent & IEP Consultations

Navigating the school systems and connecting providers to support your child's best interest and needs can be overwhelming and intimidating when navigating on your own.  You do not have to feel alone in this process.

My Approach:

I consult with you as parents, your child, teachers, school staff, your pediatrician, etc. about your child’s unique needs. From extensive school experience, I am extremely knowledgeable about school systems processes and understand California Education Code, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of ADA. 

 

Recommendations:

I can review school curriculum that you provide and help with the development of initiating or updating IEPs/504 plans/learning plans, and recommend the most appropriate and individualized supports for your child.

 

Who else do I support? 

I also work with private/independent schools about obtaining appropriate accommodations/supports to meet your child’s needs.
